Hi! I am nearing the end of my 3rd year of university and I'm looking forwards to having more time to painting and relaxing. But there are several important things happening over the next while. First, a sale! I'll be holding a birthday sale here on my website to celebrate pintofangrybees.com 's first birthday. It doesn't feel like I've had my own website for a year! There will be 10% off everything for one day only on the 24th of April, so make a note on your calanders!
Second, I'll be advertising commission slots this summer. If you like my art but just haven't seen an original piece that quite floats your boat, now is your chance to ask me to make it! I'll release more details of this after the birthday sale but don't hesitate to drop me a message here or via my socials if you want to grab a slot and information before then.
As mentioned in previous blog posts, I am going to be releasing more washi designs. This has taken more time than I thought due to university assignments and the like so I'll be releasing these in May sometime.
Fianally, a long term closure. My shop will be closed from the end of July 2023 to the begining of February 2024. I've been lucky enough to get a 6 month internship in France as part of my integrated masters program, and while this is super exciting I sadly won't be able to operate my shop during this time. I will be studying the impact of climate change on sea bass physiology and gain a lot of valuable lab skills over the course of the internship. These are skills that will help me to get work or even a PhD in the world of cetacean science further down the road.
While this is a funded program, I will have to continue paying household bills even while overseas. Part of my funding only kicks in in September as well, so leavining me with expenses like flights, rental deposits, and living costs for the first month uncovered by the funding I have managed to get. So, if you want to support me, do order a commission or purchase something from the shop!
